Just in time for the spring onslaught of speaking engagements everywhere from SXSW to Ignite, The Hired Guns Academy brings you mission critical training to ensure you take any stage or podium with aplomb. Attendees are encouraged to bring talks or decks, and Joel will help you take your next talk from mundane to memorable.

By the workshop's end, you'll have learned:

If you have a talk that you're planning to give in the near future, please bring your first 5 minutes. If you don't have a prepared speech, we'll ask you to talk about a subject that you know inside and out.

Your Coach:

Joel Schwartzberg won the U.S. National Championship in after-dinner speaking, the Massachusetts State Championship in persuasive speaking, and was ranked among the top ten public speakers overall in the country. He went on to coach competitive public speaking teams at The University of Pennsylvania, Seton Hall University, St. Joseph's University, and Queens College. In 2002, Joel was inducted into the National Forensic Association "Hall of Fame" for his contributions to the practice of competitive public speaking, and has been conducting both one-on-one and group public speaking workshops for the past five years.
